Here’s a brief rundown on Dishlex dishwashers. And you can check the Canstar Blue survey results here.
The people behind the name
Dishlex was founded in 1948 right here in Australia – a brand with a name synonymous with its purpose of getting dishes clean. Dishlex are part of the Electrolux family, but from 1971 to 1986, an Italian company named Smeg was responsible for manufacturing the Dishlex line in Australia. Smeg has been run by the Bertazzoni family since the 1600s, a bunch of blacksmiths who turned to manufacturing appliances in the 1900s.
The Dishlex slogan is: “Australians love a Dishlex!” Their dishwashers have been popular with Australians as an Australian-designed, Australian-made choice since their early days.
The Electrolux motto “thinking of you” philosophy has also created a strong attitude of corporate responsibility to the environment. Electrolux won the European Commission’s award for reducing energy consumption in its products, plants and services. Dishlex was the first brand to achieve a 6-star energy rating for a dishwasher, and led the pack in energy efficiency for five years from 1995 to 2000.
Dishlex innovations in dish washing
Load sensing: The dishwasher assesses each load and each wash is altered to optimise water and energy efficiency while still delivering a spectacular wash.
Progress indicator: This device tells you what stage a load is up to in the wash cycle and how many minutes are left.
2014 model: DSF6305X: This 4.5-star water-efficient dishwasher uses just 10.3 litres of water.
