Common courtesy prevails when it comes to car park fender benders

Most Satisfied Customers - Sedans 2012Australians have proven themselves to be responsible drivers – checking their tyres before long trips and having their cars serviced regularly – in a nationwide survey of sedan customers.

However, while survey respondents showed a penchant for safety and value, 13% admitted to bumping a neighbouring car while trying to manoeuvre into a park (and not leaving their details behind). One in five Generation Y drivers admitted to committing a carpark ‘bump and run’ making them the biggest offenders, ahead of Generation X drivers (18%) and Baby Boomers (5%).

The rising cost of living had almost half of our survey respondents considering downsizing their vehicle to a more efficient model.

Those in the market for a new car may consider a Toyota – the winner of Canstar Blue’s most satisfied customers award for Sedans.
