Radiant land our laundry liquid award for 2014
More than one in two laundry detergent customers who responded to our recent survey state, “I always buy the same brand of laundry detergent.” And of those respondents, 93% do so because they know the product works well.
Given there are so many products available in stores, however, how can you be sure you’re getting the best value for your weekly purchase? That’s why we rated laundry liquid brands with our customer satisfaction ratings – to help you shop with confidence!
This year, Radiant has received our Most Satisfied Customers Award – Laundry Liquids, ahead of some truly great brands: Earth Choice, ALDI Brands, OMO, Dynamo, and Cold Power.
Radiant enjoyed five star success in the areas of overall satisfaction, how effectively it cleaned (i.e. the quality of clean), the number of washes consumers could enjoy before the detergent ran out, smell, and the feel of clothes after a wash.
Take a look at some of our other standout brands:
- ALDI Brands secured five stars for laundry liquid value for money, the number of washes per pack, and the feel of clothes post-wash.
- Earth Choice finished with a five star rating for environmental friendliness.
See below for the full results to this laundry liquids brand comparison.
Overall customer satisfaction
Radiant earned five stars for overall customer satisfaction in the category of laundry liquids. Earth Choice and ALDI Brands both finished with four stars, and OMO, Dynamo, and Cold Power each received three.
Value for money
ALDI Brands, winner of this year’s laundry powder award, received five stars for value for money in this category. Close behind with four stars apiece were Earth Choice and Radiant, then three star achievers Dynamo, Cold Power, and OMO.
Quality of clean
Most people buy clothes that will stand the test of time. For that, you’ll need a detergent product that cleans effectively. Radiant – true to their name – received five stars for how well its detergent products cleaned garments. ALDI Brands, OMO, Earth Choice, Dynamo, and Cold Power all finished with four stars each.
Number of washes
Customers of both ALDI Brands and Radiant were most satisfied with the number of washes they could get from each packet of detergent they had purchased. These brands secured five stars each, and were trailed closely by four star achiever Earth Choice. Dynamo, OMO, and Cold Power all received three stars in this area.
Earth Choice has received many five star ratings for environmental friendliness in past Canstar Blue ratings, so it’s no big surprise they have received five stars for laundry liquid environmental friendliness. ALDI Brands and Radiant both received four stars for their detergents’ ‘green-ness’, and were followed by three star recipients OMO, Dynamo, and Cold Power.
If you’ve heard the expression ‘dress to impress’, you’ll know that having great smelling clothes can have a positive influence on those you meet.
Radiant customers were most satisfied with the smell of their clothes after running them through a wash. Next in line (after our five star recipient) was our other rated brands – Earth Choice, OMO, ALDI Brands, Dynamo, and Cold Power – with four stars each.
Feel of clothes after wash
ALDI Brands and Radiant both secured five stars for the feel of washed clothes. These award-winning brands were followed by four star recipients Earth Choice, OMO, Dynamo, and Cold Power.
How we rated laundry liquid brands
Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton to regularly survey 2,500 Australian consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from customers within the survey group who have purchased and used laundry liquid in the last three months – in this case, 793 consumers.
Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands receiving three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
