2014 Car Performance Ratings
Posted by Canstar Blue November 5th 2014
Compare the performance of car brands by using our customer satisfaction ratings comparison.
Car performance means something different to whomever you happen to ask. To you, it might mean unmetered top speed and ferocious acceleration. For another, it might mean peerless handling and grip and an unchanged driving experience – no matter what the situation.
We spend roughly $50 a week on fuel, according to the respondents of our recent survey. For that amount of money, you get a car that takes you wherever you want or need to go – something that commuters could never do.
Subaru had the most satisfied customers when it came to new car performance, which has earned them our award for 2014. Vehicles such as the Impreza and the Forrester are no doubt at the forefront of people’s minds when they think of quintessential Subaru performance.
Also rated were Volkswagen, Honda, Honda, Mitsubishi, Kia, Ford, Suzuki, Toyota, Mazda, and Holden with four stars; and Hyundai and Nissan both with three stars.
Frequently asked questions
Canstar Blue commissioned Colmar Brunton to survey 5,000 Australian drivers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from customers within the survey group who have bought a brand new car from a dealership in the last three years – in this case, 1,805 Australians.
Each brand must have received at least 30 responses in order to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands receiving three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10. Not all brands available in the market have been compared in this survey.
