Our latest survey has revealed Australians spend on average $31 a week buying alcohol.

Interestingly, our survey showed NSW residents surveyed were the biggest spenders in this area, clocking up an average of $39 a week on alcohol purchases in comparison to an average food spend of $185 as estimated recently by Commsec. The survey confirmed South Australians spend the least amount weekly at $23.

The results confirmed males surveyed spend on average slightly more than females on alcoholic beverages, with males spending $33 a week and females $28. It also revealed Generation X respondents spent the most in this category ($33 a week) compared with Generation Y and Baby Boomers who both spent $30 weekly.

Our consumer satisfaction survey revealed Australia’s oldest operating brewery Cascade Brewery beat its competitors by coming out on top with most satisfied beer customers, taking out our award over leading brands Coopers, Crown, VB, Carlton, Corona, XXXX and Pure Blonde.
