Founded in 1979 in Chicago, Illinois, the potential for a successful franchise was recognised by Australian investors Nabi Saleh and Peter Irvine in 1995. They purchased the franchise rights the same year (with the exceptions of USA and Puerto Rico rights) and brought the company to Australia.
