Currently 186 Kmart stores can be found around Australia – with the popular brand (owned by Wesfarmers) being one of the key department store brands in the country. They sell a wide range of products, such as:

On the day the first Kmart store opened in Victoria in 1969, the doors had to be closed just 45 minutes after opening due to a huge influx of people passing through the checkouts in the first hour.

In conjunction with their department store brand, Kmart also have a car servicing branch of their business, called Kmart Tyre and Auto Service. Specialists can service and repair vehicles, replace parts, offer advice and even insure motorists through Wesfarmers.
