Bose owners love their iPod speaker docks
* Overall satisfaction is an individual rating and not a combined total of all ratings
In our recent survey of iPod speaker docks, Bose received our inaugural most satisfied customers – iPod speaker docks award. Topping the field in five of seven criteria, Bose customers are obviously very satisfied with the product they have purchased.
Logitech respondents were the most satisfied with the price of their iPod speaker docks while those who had purchased a Sony were the most appreciative of the extra features.
While overall satisfaction with the brands surveyed was quite high, there were a number of consistent themes when it came to areas of dissatisfaction. These included:
Price
Bulkiness
Lack of portability (for units without batteries)
Sound quality
Volume range (not loud enough for entertaining or outside areas)
Charging facility (units that don’t charge while they are playing)
Different sizes (some units don’t fit all iPods and iPhones)
Unattractive appearance and limited colour options.
Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton to survey 2,500 Australian consumers across a range of categories every few months to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from people who have bought iPod speaker docks within the survey group. To qualify, the iPod speaker dock has to have been bought within the last two years.
Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands that received three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
