Dogs fetch gourmet dinners at home

* Overall satisfaction is an individual rating and not a combined total of all ratings
Many respondents to our recent survey revealed they have opted to cook homemade food rather than purchase ready-made products…for their pet dog that is.
This isn’t just for special events - nearly one third of respondents to our recent survey admitted they cook freshly made meals for their canine friends on a regular basis.
Additionally, more than half of our survey respondents said they would often treat their furry friend to more than one meal per day.
While homemade dinners may be the ultimate labour of love for many pet-owners, most will not have the time or know-how to cater for their dog’s gourmet appetite.
Luckily, there are plenty of pet food brands available at local supermarkets and pet stores – and Supercoat is barking up the right tree for customer satisfaction. They received our most satisfied customers award for dog food when compared to Optimum, Chum, My Dog, Pedigree and Lucky Dog.
Supercoat received five star ratings for overall satisfaction, value for money, packaging options and the all important test, whether pets will eat it.
Chum and Optimum also received five star ratings, for the ‘pets eat it’ and nutritional value criteria respectfully.
Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton to survey 2,500 Australian consumers across a range of categories every few months to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from customers of dog food within the survey group - in this case, 770 people. To qualify, the customer must have bought packaged dog food (wet or dry) in the past six months. Brands must receive at least 30 responses to be included.
Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands that received three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
