Taubmans is one of the oldest paint brands in Australia, having existed since the 1890s, where George Henry Taubman established himself as a well-known supplier, before he decided in 1899 to make his own paint. By 1928, the brand had gone international, with Taubmans having a presence in both Australia and New Zealand. In 2007 the brand was acquired by PPG Industries.

Today, Taubmans continues to develop paint products for Australian consumers. They market all manner of exterior and interior paint products, as well as offer a wealth of advice from their website about how to go about a painting project.
