About AusBBS Broadband
One of the first internet service providers to launch with a specific focus on providing NBN-based plans, AusBBS is a relatively new telco, formed in 2012.
It was spruiked as the first cloud-based ISP and in 2013 became the first to offer an unlimited NBN plan. Since then other providers such as TPG and Exetel have also introduced unlimited NBN plans.
AusBBS also claims to be the first ISP to offer a PAYG (pay as you go) broadband product on the NBN, and in early 2015 reportedly became the first ISP in the Australian market to offer fibre-to-the-basement network products, supplied by AAPT – a subsidiary of TPG. AusBBS also offers NBN, fibre and Voice Over IP phone services, which can all be bundled or standalone.
