About Samsung tablets

Samsung produces and distributes appliances and electronics worldwide, and has established itself as a global powerhouse in the smartphone and tablet markets, rivalling the likes of Apple.

Samsung launched its first tablet computer, the Galaxy Tab, in November 2010, following the release of the Apple IPad in April of that year. The key difference between the two devices was that the Galaxy Tab came with a rear and front camera, whereas the iPad did not.

The original Galaxy Tab was a global success, selling over one million devices within a month of its release. Since then, Samsung has continued expanding its range of Galaxy devices, including eight Galaxy Tablet models and seven Galaxy Notes.

What’s new with Samsung tablets?

Samsung has come a long way since the first Galaxy tablet. Its latest Galaxy S2 tablet comes in 8-inch and 9.7 inch sizes with an 8MP and 3.1 MP rear and front camera. In contrast to previous models, the Galaxy S2 offers a number of features and software improvements which you can read about on our website.

The Galaxy Note 5 has also experienced strong sales thanks to its versatility as both a quality phone and tablet. So what’s next for the tech-giant? Samsung is yet to make an official announcement about any new tablet products, but rumours are circulating the company is working on a large tablet with an 18.4 inch screen called the ‘Galaxy View’. Any official announcements are expected for early-mid 2016.
