MeU Mobile is a relatively new Australian service provider which offers simple, no-fuss mobile plans to customers around the country.
MeU utilises Telstra’s 3G mobile network, which covers 98.5% of the population, and offers four different SIM-only post-paid plans with varying amounts of calls, texts and data.
MeU differentiates itself from the competition through a strong focus on personal customer service, with a local team of Aussies on the end of its helpline. It also offers several perks not found with most carriers, such as zero flagfall fees on mobile calls, no lock-in contracts and no expensive excess data charges, with PAYG data rates of $10 per 1GB.
MeU also offers an express delivery service, whereby you can order your SIM card before 4pm and have it delivered the next working day.
With four good value plans to choose from and a commitment to customer service, MeU is one to keep an eye on in future.
In addition to being one of Australia’s largest home broadband providers, iiNet also operates an extensive mobile network, offering scalable plans to customers around the nation.
iiNet has both mobile handset and SIM-only plans, with a variety of top phones available. But what are its best value deals?
iiNet offers three main mobile plans, with base prices of $15, $30 and $45 per month. Whilst each one comes with different amounts of inclusions to cater to the needs of different people, it’s the top $45 plan which stands out in terms of value.
Dubbed the ‘Heavy Use’ plan, iiNet’s most expensive offering comes with all-inclusive (i.e. unlimited) standard and national calls, texts, voicemail and MMS, along with 2GB of anytime data. iiNet’s killer feature, however, is the ability to double your data allowance by bundling your phone plan with an iiNet broadband plan. For the $45 plan, this amounts to a generous 4GB a month.
iiNet’s three plans are identical whether you want a handset or just a SIM card, the one difference being that handset plans come on a 24-month contract whilst SIM plans are month-to-month. Handsets are available for purchase outright or on a monthly repayment (with the same total cost), giving you a flexible option often not available from other carriers.
iiNet was the only mobile service provider to achieve a five-star review for overall customer satisfaction in our 2015 customer satisfaction ratings.
