Raine & Horne has been in the business of property for more than 130 years and is still a family-owned Australian company to this day.
From its first office in Sydney, which opened in 1883, the company has grown to become a huge international real estate network, with offices all over Australia, as well as locations in Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. Raine & Horne also has a number of associate real estate agencies in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Japan and India.
Back in 1883 Sydney, founders Tom Raine and Joseph Horne committed themselves to the personalised service of their clients in the city. Over four generations, the family’s service was in so much demand that they expanded all over Sydney.
However, it wasn’t until 1976 that the business took to a whole new town, with the first Raine & Horne office outside of Sydney opening about an hour away in Liverpool. This one office paved the way for the company’s expansion into the brand that it has become today.
While the residential side of the real estate market was covered by Raine & Horne from the very beginning, the company didn’t enter the commercial sector until 1984. Since then, it has opened more than 35 specialist offices for commercial real estate in capital cities, regional centers and international locations.
Being independently owned and operated, Raine & Horne commercial offices have knowledge of the local property market and gave give valuable insights on your area, the company says.
