Dyson is a British company that markets a variety of appliances – but is most famous for their vacuum cleaners.

Founded by James Dyson in 1992, the company’s success was cemented when Dyson began marketing his vacuum cleaner design that used cyclonic action technology for effective cleaning, as well as excluding the need for a vacuum bag. He experimented with 5,127 different prototypes.

Dyson now markets bagless vacuum cleaners featuring this cyclone technology in many countries, and also develop other air-powered devices like bladeless fans and heaters.

As of 2011, Dyson have over 3000 employees.
