About Harvey Norman

Synonymous with shopping in Australia, Harvey Norman has long been in the retail landscape, founded back in 1982 by Gerry Harvey and Ian Norman, who met in the 1960’s selling vacuums door-to-door. From here, the two opened an electrical appliance store – Norman Ross – which grew to become one of Australia’s most recognisable retailers in the 1970s, before being acquired by the Grace Bros. From here, Harvey and Norman embarked on a new pursuit that grew to be the retail chain that we now know today as Harvey Norman.

Founded in 1982 – and today operating at nearly 200 locations across Australia, with almost 100 stores overseas – Harvey Norman specialises in all forms of electrical goods, ranging from computers, gaming consoles, phones, kitchen appliances, vacuum cleaners, exercise equipment as well as bedding and outdoor furniture to help you deck out every room in the house. With plenty of goods available, and plenty of competition, Harvey Norman offers a variety of promotions, price guarantees and incentives such as delivery and installation options to help entice you through the doors.

Harvey Norman Price Guarantee

Harvey Norman Price Guarantee

Harvey Norman offers the ‘Shop with Confidence Price Guarantee’ to ensure you’re getting the best deal on a particular product, although there are some terms and conditions attached. To request a Price Match, present a competitor’s advertised price of the same product at either the time of purchase, or within seven days of your purchase, where Harvey Norman will verify the price. If the price is verified, and they have the same product in stock and available for immediate purchase, Harvey Norman will match the price or refund the difference to you. However there are exclusions to the Price Guarantee, including bulk purchases, delivery and installation costs, prices on refurbished or ex-demo models, grey market items and pricing errors, with a full list of exclusions available in the terms and conditions.

Harvey Norman Returns Policy

Harvey Norman states that refunds will generally be processed within three days, but may vary from store to store, as each location is generally operated by a franchisee, with refund policies available online on the Harvey Norman website. Harvey Norman also outline that they generally don’t accept ‘Change of Mind’ refunds, so be sure to select the product you’re after, as you may not be able to return it!
