Westinghouse Refrigerators Review

Westinghouse is a family-focused appliance brand under the umbrella of the Electrolux Group. For many years, Westinghouse has been chosen by Australian families for sensible household appliances designed to make life just a little bit easier. While the brand isn’t one for posh design or high-end features, it endeavours to design practical, reliable products.

The Westinghouse fridge range offers a diverse set of designs and price points to suit all kinds of kitchens. Every kind of fridge is represented in multiple sizes, so you’d be wise to include Westinghouse in your search for a new fridge.

What makes Westinghouse fridges stand out?

Westinghouse has a solid reputation for reliable performance and practical design. Naturally refrigerator needs vary, so it’s important to fully explore the options available to find the refrigerator that ticks all of your boxes.

A few design features to look out for with the Westinghouse refrigerator range are:

  • FlexSpace: This design principle is about making storage space flexible, so you can make the most out of your fridge capacity, no matter what kind of things you keep in there. The FlexStor door design allows users to lift, slide and move around door bins in a variety of configurations. Additional FlexSpace accessories are available to purchase separately, such as a door-mounted drinks can dispenser, a bottle stop (to secure stacked bottles on a shelf), pull-out shelves (for items that can otherwise be difficult to place and remove, such as cakes), and small item bins (for little bits and bobs that are otherwise easily lost in the labyrinth).
  • FamilySafe lockable compartment: A secure compartment that locks little prying fingers out of certain items that you want to keep kids safe from (or to keep safe from the kids).
  • Crisper divider: The FlexFresh crisper design comes with a handy movable divider in the crisper. This makes it easy to keep fruit and vegetables separate while remaining space-efficient.
  • Integration kits: Match your fridge to your cabinetry by using a Westinghouse integration kit with a compatible fridge. The kit includes specialised hinges that attach the fridge door to your cabinetry and allow doors to open up to 120 degrees wide.

What kind of fridges does Westinghouse produce?

As one of Australia’s major home whitegoods suppliers, Westinghouse produces every kind of home fridge available on the market.

  • Bar fridges
  • Bottom mount fridges
  • Top mount fridges
  • French door fridges
  • Side by side fridges
  • Vertical (single door) fridges

Within each fridge type, Westinghouse produces a fairly wide range of capacities. The Westinghouse brand covers everything from a tiny 100L bar fridge to a massive 690L family fridge.
