Parents love ALDI Mamia disposable nappies
Our latest consumer satisfaction survey has revealed cloth nappies are making a comeback, with almost one in five Australian mums surveyed choosing them to help protect the environment.
Our first disposable nappy survey showed some interesting insights when it comes to this staple item for mums. Although most Australia mums are most loyal to disposable nappies because of their convenience, a significant percentage of women are choosing cloth nappies instead because of their low impact on the environment.
It also showed 1 in 10 Australians surveyed are buying disposable nappies online to save money, and 8% of health-conscious mums are choosing to buy organic nappies.
The survey revealed good news for supermarket chain ALDI, whose disposable nappy range ALDI Mamia beat its competitors by coming out on top with most satisfied customers. ALDI also received the most satisfied customers award for laundry powder (full laundry powder results can be seen here).
ALDI Mamia is the clear winner in the eyes of its customers, taking out the prize in every category – overall satisfaction, price, leak prevention, style/design and baby comfort.
ALDI Mamia beat its competitors Huggies, Snuggles and BabyLove in every category tested.
Most common nappy gripes:
- Too expensive
- Limited designs – parents wanting more variety
- Nappy tabs of poor quality and can sometimes tear off
- Inconsistent sizing across brands
Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton to survey 2,500 Australian consumers across a range of categories every few months to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from people who have bought disposable nappies within the survey group. To qualify, the disposable nappies must have been bought within the last three years.
