3 in 4 show washing machines a little love and care
There are some things most people see as an investment and are prepared to pay a little more for to get the best quality possible. Washing machines, according to our latest survey, seem to be one of those things.
The results of our latest survey of top and front loader washing machine customers show that nearly three quarters of respondents were willing to spend a little bit extra on their whitegoods – seeing washing machines as “an investment”. Women who owned a front loader machine were more likely than men to be of this mindset (85% of women versus 66% of men).
Nearly two thirds of all respondents went to the effort of cleaning their washing machine, perhaps protecting their investment.
However, a third of respondents were less protective when it came to their clothes, ignoring care labels and washing all their garments on the same setting (34%). A similar number reported to having previously ruined clothes in their machine by mixing colours (33%).
