Coles has partnered with eBay in what is said to be a world first, with the aim to extend its reach to eBay’s 11 million unique monthly visitors.

The partnership gives shoppers access to Coles’ products alongside eBay’s range of new and unique items, from tech to fashion.

eBay users can now shop from Coles’ perishable and non-perishable everyday essentials across a variety of categories, including select pre-packed fresh foods, pantry, personal care and household items via the eBay website.

It’s available for shoppers in metro areas of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with shopping delivered by Coles within 2-4 days.

There is one simple unattended delivery option that will enable customers to have their orders dropped off even if no-one is home. Further delivery options will be provided throughout the year.

The products offered are stated to have the same national in-store prices.

The first 5,000 Shoppers in metro Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will get 25 per cent off their first Coles on eBay order.

Shoppers who have subscribed to eBay’s membership program, eBay Plus, will have free delivery on orders over $49 and double the number of flybuys points on all orders.

Tim MacKinnon, Managing Director of eBay Australia and New Zealand said: “Coles is one of Australia’s oldest and most trusted brands, so we’re excited to welcome them to eBay as they broaden their online channels.
