Delicious and innovative jam recipes

making jamYes, vegemite taps into the national Australian psyche, but jam remains a popular spread for Aussies. When it comes to the flavour of jam we prefer, there is a clear winner: strawberry.

According to Canstar Blue’s most recent research of 1,600 Australian consumers, strawberry jam is the favourite flavour for a full 42% of us, including 54% of 18 to 29 year olds. Raspberry jam was a fairly distant second-favourite at 20% of the market, with Apricot jam rounding out the top three at 11%.

Other not-so-favoured flavours include:

  • Blackcurrant       7%
  • Plum                      6%
  • Blueberry            5%
  • Marmalade         3%
