OPPO A60 5G features and specs
The OPPO A60 5G is available for $299 AUD RRP — slightly cheaper than the OPPO A80 phone. It’s a phone designed with durability in mind, thanks to its shock-resistant materials, and it’s also IP54 water and dust resistant. OPPO has included a Splash Touch feature for improved touch accuracy while the screen is wet, so you can still operate your phone smoothly even if you’re using it while it’s raining.
Despite the durability focus, OPPO hasn’t let that get in the way of producing a phone that looks sleek and is lightweight, with a 7.68mm thickness and 187g weight. The A60 5G is available in two stunning colour options — a deep Nebula Red with glittering texture and a pretty Ocean Blue with a shimmering finish.
You’ll get a 6.67-inch Ultra Bright HD+ display with up to 120Hz refresh rate with 1,000 nits peak brightness, which stays easily visible in sunlight. The A60 5G also includes a big 5,100mAh Hyper Energy battery, which OPPO touts as being able to offer at least 80% performance after four years of use, plus up to 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging compatibility.
The OPPO A60 5G includes a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 8-core processor with 5G connectivity, with OPPO’s AI LinkBoost technology to improve network performance. You’ll get 4GB of RAM with RAM expansion technology to use unused storage to add an additional 4G of RAM for a smoother performance. You’ll also get 128GB of internal storage and NFC capability.
There’s a 50-megapixel main Ultra-Clear rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The main camera delivers better image quality, as it outputs 12.5-megapixel photos and optimises file space, while the AI Portrait Retouching works to enhance your selfies as much or as little as you like.
You can pick up the OPPO A60 5G for $299 AUD RRP in your choice of Nebula Red or Ocean Blue from a range of retailers including The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi, Big W, Harvey Norman, Officeworks or the OPPO Australia online store.

OPPO A40 features and specs
The OPPO A40 offers the same durability features as the A60 5G. The device includes military-grade shock resistance to withstand everyday wear and tear, and IP54 dust and water resistance, which helps to protect against spills from both hot and cold liquids, like coffee and tea. It also includes Splash Touch for improved responsiveness when water is on screen or if your hands are damp.
While it is built for durability, it’s still a stylish, sleek-looking and lightweight design, with 7.68mm thickness and 186g of weight. You’ll have the choice between the Starlight White and Sparkle Black colours, which are both made with OPPO’s Glow process for a pretty shimmer look and fingerprint resistance.
You’ll get a 6.67-inch LCD display with up to 90Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness, which helps the Ultra Bright display to stay visible in bright sunlight. The A40 also includes a big 5,100mAh battery, which is able to hold up to 80% battery performance compared to a new device after four years of usage. There’s also up to 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, which OPPO touts as being able to charge from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes.
