Samsung who? If you’re an Apple fan looking to upgrade your device, Telstra is slashing prices on the iPhone XS and XS Max – saving you a massive $648 over the life of your plan.
The telco is offering a serious discount to both new and upgrading customers picking up the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max on a 24-month or 36-month handset payment plan. Combine your device with any Telstra month-to-month postpaid plan, stay connected for the full two or three year repayment period, and you’ll save almost $650 on the cost of your new handset.
The offer is available now for the 64GB iPhone XS, 256GB iPhone XS, 64GB iPhone XS Max, and 256GB iPhone XS Max in all available colours. Your $648 discount will be applied as a monthly bill credit over your 24-month or 36-month device payment period.

Should I go for the iPhone XS?
Telstra’s offer does come with terms and conditions – to receive the full benefit of the deal, you’ll need to stick with a Telstra plan for the full 24 or 36 months of your device payment agreement. If you cancel early, you’ll need to pay off the remaining balance of your iPhone, and you’ll forfeit any further discounts.
However, as Telstra’s mobile plans are now separate from your phone payments, you’re free to switch between them each month with no penalty or impact on your device repayments.
As a fun bonus, all iPhone purchases also come with a full year’s subscription to Apple TV+, the company’s new original streaming service. Normally price at $7.99 per month, Apple TV+ features a large catalogue of exclusive content, including the Emmy-nominated (and SAG-award winning, for lead actress Jennifer Aniston) The Morning Show.
Although the iPhone XS series isn’t the newest on the market – that honour goes to last September’s iPhone 11 , 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max – you’ll still be getting a premium smartphone, especially for such a heavily reduced price. If you’re ready to upgrade to a fast new device with a great camera, long-lasting battery, and an easy update to iOS 13, the iPhone XS range is a big-value option that will save you hundreds compared to the now-flagship iPhone 11.
