Suits season seven back on Netflix Australia

It’s only a matter of time until Suits lays down the gavel on the much-loved show, ending almost a decade’s worth of top legal drama. But before you start reliving the long-running series by streaming it all on Netflix, there’s still plenty to witness when the second half of season seven arrives on March 29.

What’s happened so far?

Need a refresher on what’s happened in the series so far? Here’s a brief rundown of some big moments.

Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) was left in charge of the firm after Jessica followed her heart and left for the Windy City that is Chicago. This saw Alex Williams (Dulé Hill) and Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) push to become a named partner, although Donna made it out on top when Harvey finally acknowledged her years of loyalty to the firm by promoting her to Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Things are also starting to get ‘Litt Up’ with Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) finding his way, despite a very rocky first few seasons. On top of his engagement to Tara Messer (Carly Pope) crumbling in season six, season seven began with Louis being hit with a sexual harassment suit after he took out his anger on the associates. But in typical Hollywood style, the claims were resolved with a deep heart-to-heart. Things between him and Harvey, and even the fresh-faced Alex, also seemed to cool down.

When it came to love, the mid-season finale proved that Harvey had plenty to think about. Why? After years and years of build-up, Donna finally went in for a kiss with Harvey. However, it was all bittersweet since it happened after things started heating up between Harvey and his old therapist Paula Agard (Christina Cole), who told him that Donna was in love with him.

For a less complex love story, fans will be excited to see Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) get back to planning their wedding after putting it on hold. Although you might have to get a box of tissues when you watch the season finale because it will be their last episode together… You may have heard that Meghan Markle is busy with other things these days.

What to expect in season seven (part two)?

Since Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) was disbarred in the first half of the season, everything about the firm formerly known as Pearson Specter Litt has changed.

Mike is finally starting his career as a fully-fledged lawyer and will be reuniting with Harvey, his mentor and the other half of the ‘dream team’. Although it won’t be all fun and games for Harvey and Louis Litt, who must learn how to work together as they rebuild their reputations. Donna will continue “wanting more” of what happened last season, as Rachel works on making a name for herself while planning the wedding.

Plus, Aussie fans will be happy to know a spinoff series is happening! ‘Pearson’ will revolve around Gina Torres’ character and her life after leaving the firm. The storyline for the new show will be introduced in later episodes this season.
