Aldi Special Buy deal: 75-inch TV for $749

Fact Checked Fact Checked

Movie nights and footy finals are about to get a whole lot bigger, with Aldi offering a 75-inch Tizen Ultra HD LED Smart TV from Bauhn for $749. This offer is set to land in stores on Saturday, July 19, as part of Aldi’s popular Special Buys sale.

This TV boasts a 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160), promising a crisp and clear picture. And while Bauhn doesn’t offer the high-tech features that come with other brands, it does use Samsung’s operating system Tizen, which gives you access to popular streaming apps, such as Netflix, Disney+, Youtube and more, and a seamless user experience. In terms of connectivity, it’s well covered with three HDMI ports, a USB port, and both Wi-Fi and ethernet options.

Bauhn is sold exclusively through Aldi in Australia and is known for offering electronics at competitive prices. While it may not have the brand recognition of the big tech names, it often provides a lot of tech for your money.

Is this the right TV for you?

This Bauhn TV is a fantastic option for those on a limited budget who want the biggest screen possible. However, if you’re a serious movie buff or gamer, you might want to consider some alternatives.

For a noticeable upgrade in colour and brightness without a huge price jump, consider a QLED TV from brands like Hisense or TCL. These produce a more vibrant and lifelike image than standard LED TVs.

If you’re looking for a higher-end brand, Samsung and Sony are consistent award-winners. In fact, Samsung won a Canstar Blue 2025 Innovation Excellence Award for its S95D OLED Glare Free TV, and also tied with Sony as the winner of our 2025 best-rated televisions award.

The verdict

The Bauhn 75-inch TV from Aldi is an undeniably good deal for its size. If your main priority is getting a huge screen for a low price, then this is a deal worth lining up for. However, if picture quality and advanced features are more important, it’s worth exploring some of the other great options on the market.
