Toyota and Hyundai crowned joint winners in after sales service


Car Awards 2012 - After Sales Service Owning a car is often a bit like a long-term relationship. Your vehicle requires regular attention if you want to get the most out if it and maintaining scheduled servicing goes a long way towards protecting your investment (and your warranty).

The relationship with your dealer is likely to continue long after you pull away from their lot so a brand with good after sales service can prove an excellent investment in the long run.

Looking at the results of our recent survey of car customers, two big names in motoring were number one for their after sales service to customers looking to keep their cars in top shape.

Both Hyundai and Toyota have received our most satisfied customers award in this area for 2012, amidst a great deal of competition from other brands.

This was just one of Hyundai’s award wins in this year’s motoring awards, with the manufacturer also receiving Canstar Blue’s five star rating for overall customer satisfaction, reliability and value for money.

Mazda, Subaru, Volkswagen, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Honda, Ford and Holden all received four stars for their after sales service; with Kia awarded three.

Canstar Blue commissioned Colmar Brunton to survey 7,500 Australian consumers over a number of months to measure their satisfaction across a range of motoring products and services. The outcomes reported are the results from customers within the survey group - in this case, 1,722 people – who had bought a brand new car from a dealership in the last 3 years.

Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands that received three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
