Motorola’s latest Edge smartphone — the Edge 60 Fusion — is the first of the Edge 60 series to be released in Australia, bringing a host of great features and intuitive AI to the mid-range price point.
With many standout and unique features, such as a Sony LYTIA 700C camera sensor validated by Pantone and a bright display with Pantone Validated colours, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is a user-focused device that not only looks good, but is competitively priced at $699 AUD RRP.
“We are passionate about pushing the limits of what a smartphone can offer, the new Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is a testament to this, marking an important step in bringing world-first and category-leading features to Australians. With enhanced Moto AI features that are more intuitive and proactive than ever before, this phone integrates AI support smoothly to level up everyday experiences,” Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola Australia and New Zealand, said.
“We are also proud of the lengths we have gone to to ensure credibility in colour throughout the entire device, thanks to our partnership with Pantone. As the authority of colour, Pantone has influenced not only the colour of the devices themselves, but the colours captured by the impressive camera are Pantone Validated, with this validation then extending to the display.”
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is available from a range of retailers from May 22, 2025. Read on to find out if the Edge 60 Fusion is the right mid-range phone for you.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion features and specs
Design and display
The Edge 60 Fusion includes a 6.7-inch pOLED curved display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, which offers Motorola’s brightest and sharpest display yet. With a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and Pantone Validated Colours, you’ll get a clear and vibrant picture, even in sunny environments.
Motorola has also put effort into producing a device with a stunning design that is built to last. With its curved edges and slim design, the sleek Edge 60 Fusion has a 7.95mm thickness and weighs just 178g — making it a cheaper alternative to Samsung’s slimmest Galaxy S series device, the Galaxy S25 Edge. You’ll also have the choice of three colours with different style vegan leather finishes — Slipstream and Zephyr with the leather-style texture and Amazonite with a canvas-style texture.
There’s also a focus on durability with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front for drop and scratch resistance and meets military standards so it can withstand temperatures as cold as -20°C and as hot as 60°C, along with conditions with up to 95% humidity. It can also handle submersion in up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes with the IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings.
Performance, features and battery

Motorola has also packed in plenty of AI features with Moto AI, to help with all sorts of day-to-day tasks. The ‘Catch me up’ feature summarises unread notifications, and ‘Remember this and Recall’ can capture photos, screenshots and notes which you can add notes to, then recall later. The new Next Move feature allows for AI-recommendations on what the next steps are based on what’s on your screen, whether that’s following a recipe or going through travel plans.
Powering all these features is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with up to 1TB of expandable microSD storage and 5G connectivity. As for battery, the Edge 60 Fusion comes with a big 5,200mAh battery along with up to 68W fast charging, capable of charging 12 hours of battery in eight minutes using the Motorola TurboPower 68W charger (although the charger is not included in the box).
Cameras
The Edge 60 Fusion comes packed with the features you need to take a wide range of photos with great-quality results. You’ll get a 50MP Ultra Pixel main camera with three-in-one sensor, along with a 13MP Ultrawide camera with macro vision in the back and a 32MP selfie camera in the front.
The Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation powers the main camera with built-in AI for improved colours and textures. The three-in-one sensor also helps to capture sharper, more vibrant and brighter details in a range of lighting conditions, combined with Pantone Validated colours and skin tones for more true-to-life photos.
While the Ultrawide camera can fit more into your photos — like stunning landscapes — with a 120° field of view, the included Macro Vision allows you to get as close as 3.5cm to your subject for detailed closeups.
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is available to buy from May 22 for $699 AUD RRP, from a range of retailers including JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Amazon, Officeworks and the Motorola website.

As you’ll only be able to buy the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion outright, you’ll need to pair your device with a SIM-only plan. There are plenty of cheap SIM-only phone plans available, but to take advantage of the 5G connectivity and the growing 5G mobile networks, you might want to look at a 5G mobile plan.
