Design and display
What initially sets the Edge apart from the rest of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is its slim design: while it’s not a small phone, it boasts a 5.8 millimetre thickness and weighs just 163 grams. Compared to the heftier Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which clocks in at 218 grams and 8.2mm in width, the Edge is a skinny legend — and is the thinnest-ever Galaxy S series device.
The Edge’s compact body is built with a tough titanium frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front display. You’ll get IP68 water and dust resistance, so the phone can be submerged in up to 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
Samsung has given the S25 Edge at 6.7-inch display, with a 120Hz refresh rate for fast, seamless scrolling and gaming. The screen also features Vision Booster and Adaptive Colour Tone for brighter, more accurate colours across all environments.
Cameras
The Galaxy S25 Edge includes three of the four cameras found the in S25 Ultra: the 12-megapixel ultra-wide and 200-megapixel wide cameras in the back, plus a 12-megapixel front-facing lens. The only thing missing is the Ultra’s telephoto camera, but even without this feature you’ll get a leading camera experience, with extra-sharp resolution and improved nighttime photography.
The camera system is boosted by the ProVisual Engine for sharper details, as well as the same AI editing features you’ll get in the whole S25 range. Users can edit and fine-tune photos and video with tools including Audio Eraser, Drawing Assist and Auto Trim.
Performance and battery
As with almost all new high-end phones, AI is a major selling point. The S25 Edge includes Galaxy AI integration, such as instant Gemini-powered answers and daily to-do lists powered by Now Briefing and the Now Bar. All of the Edge’s AI capabilities are run by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the same chipset you’ll find in the rest of the Galaxy S25 line.
Battery-wise, the Edge includes a 3,900mAh capacity that Samsung says is suitable for all-day use. The battery is fast-charge capable, with up to 55% recharge in 30 minutes via 25-watt wired charging, and works with fast wireless charging and PowerShare.
Other key features include 5G connectivity, eSIM, and Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI interface and Samsung Knox Vault security. The Galaxy S25 Edge is available in 256GB and 512GB storage sizes, and in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue (Samsung store exclusive).
