Introducing Motorola’s new phones for the budget-conscious and business-oriented

Motorola has added three new smartphones to its lineup, focusing on serving a range of consumers with different needs. While there are a couple of devices released in that all-important budget-friendly price range, Motorola is also launching a new phone with PC integration at its forefront.

The ThinkPhone by Motorola utilises its relationship with Lenovo to create a device designed for professionals and work-on-the-go, with its PC integration and safety features.

For the more budget-conscious, Motorola is introducing the Moto G53 5G and the Moto E13 to its device lineup. These devices integrate some of the newest tech innovations and bundle them into more accessible and affordable packages, proving that price doesn’t have to be a barrier to a quality smartphone.

Combining a smartphone with PC integration thanks to its partnership with Lenovo, Motorola’s new ThinkPhone by Motorola combines premium features and specs to create a more business-oriented device with stellar security features.

“While Motorola is seeing strong momentum in the consumer channels across the globe, with the introduction of the ThinkPhone by Motorola, we are now making substantial inroads into the enterprise segment and making this available direct to consumers,” said Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola for Australia and New Zealand.

“There are millions of Lenovo ThinkPad users in Australia and the ThinkPhone now enables those users to experience a seamless PC-to-smartphone connection with the same trusted reliability and quality of the Lenovo Think products.”

The Thinkphone features a lightweight aramid fibre design with aircraft-grade aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus to produce a sturdy, yet lightweight phone, with IP68 dust and water resistance. You’ll get a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, plus 5G and WiFi 6E compatibility.

Although it might be a phone oriented for business, you can still enjoy taking some quality snaps with the 50MP Ultra Pixel main camera, plus a 13MP ultra-wide camera and depth sensor, along with a 32MP front-facing camera. It also includes a 5,000mAh battery, which Motorola claims has up to 36 hours of battery life. Plus, you’ll get a 68W fast charger included in the box, so you can boost your battery in a pinch.

In addition to the standard specs and features of a smartphone, the ThinkPhone by Motorola comes packed with a range of features to help you integrate your phone into your work life, such as the ‘Red Key’, which allows you to access important apps or to sync your mobile and PC.

There’s also Moto KeySafe, which is a separate processor that runs Android to add an additional layer of security around your PINs and passwords, plus the Moto Secure App for your vital security and privacy needs. Motorola has also added the ‘Family Space’ feature, which allows children to learn and play in a more controlled and safe environment, acknowledging that parents may give their device to their child from time to time.

The ThinkPhone also includes the much-touted device integration between the phone and a Lenovo ThinkPad (and PCs with Windows 10 or later), allowing for connectivity over WiFi for easy file drops and app streaming between devices. There’s also Microsoft 365, Outlook and Teams apps pre-loaded on the phone.
