Tangerine and More launch eSIM phone plans

Tangerine and More now offer eSIM for mobile customers

More and Tangerine are the latest telcos to jump on on the eSIM bandwagon, offering an easier and more sustainable alternative to a traditional SIM card.

One of the barriers to signing up to a new phone plan can sometimes be the waiting time — waiting for your new SIM card to arrive so you can activate your new service. However, eSIM technology has helped eliminate this delay, while also reducing the plastic eWaste of a physical SIM card.

“We are committed to providing our customers with leading solutions that enhance their mobile experience. Our new eSIM capability allows our customers to connect seamlessly and conveniently without the need to collect a SIM from a store or wait for it to arrive in the mail. No more never-ending searches to find a pin to open the SIM card tray!” Andrew Branson, CEO of More and Tangerine said.

“Our eSIM capabilities extend beyond hassle-free and fast activation – they also provide customers with a host of other benefits: the ability to use multiple phone numbers on a single eSIM-enabled device, no fiddly SIM swaps when travelling overseas and improved security features. eSIM technology also contributes to environmental conservation by minimising plastic waste and lowering the overall carbon footprint.”
