Vodafone Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 & Z Flip 5 deals

  • 12, 24, or 36-month plans
  • All plans include 5G network access
  • Pre-order offers include free storage upgrades, plus a $500 trade-in bonus

Vodafone customers can buy the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 on 12, 24, or 36-month device payment plans. You can then pair your phone with any of Vodafone’s three postpaid SIM-only plans, which begin at $45 per month for 40GB of data. All three plans are month-t0-month, and include unlimited standard national calls and texts within Australia.

Alongside a monthly full-speed data allowance, Vodafone’s plans include unlimited data capped at 2Mbps, so there’s no excess data charges for use in Australia. All plans include access to Vodafone’s 5G network, as well as unlimited international texts.

Pre-order offers

Pick up one of the new folding Galaxies from Vodafone, and you can get a free storage size upgrade (512GB for the price of 256GB, or 1TB for the price of 512GB). The free storage jump will save you $200 for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 series and 512GB Galaxy Z Fold 5, and $350 for the 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Vodafone is also throwing in $500 of bonus trade-in credit on the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and $700 on the Galaxy Z Fold 5, in addition to the standard trade-in value of selected phones. You’ll need to order by August 17, and trade-in your old device by August 31. Customers will also need to stay connected to a Vodafone SIM plan for the full 12, 24, or 36 months of their payment plan to receive the full bonus credit amount.

Finally, Vodafone is also giving customers who buy a new Android device (such as the Galaxy Z series!) a $5 per month discount across Medium and Large SIM plans, provided you sign up/pre-order online before August 4.

Telstra Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 & Z Flip 5 deals

  • 12, 24, or 36-month plans available
  • All plans include 5G access, but speeds are capped to 250Mbps on Basic plan
  • Pre-order offers include free storage upgrades, trade-in bonuses and a $200 discount

Telstra is stocking both new folding Galaxy devices, with pre-orders live from July 26 and phones hitting stores on August 18. While Telstra does make phones available to buy outright, customers will only be able to pre-order the new Z Fold and Z Flip on a 12, 24, or 36-month device payment plan.

You can pair your new Samsung with one of three Telstra SIM-only postpaid plans, which begin at $62 per month for 50GB of data, up to $95 for 300GB. All plans include unlimited standard national talk and text, plus no excess data charges for use in Australia (with speeds throttled to 1.5Mbps if you exceed your data limit). 5G network access is also included; however, your speeds on the Basic plan will be capped at 250Mbps (and at 1.5Mbps once your data allowance is reached).

Pre-order offers

Telstra is giving customers a free storage upgrade across both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. This means you’ll be able to pick up the 512GB model for the price of 256GB, and the 1TB version for the price of 512GB, saving you up to $350.

Customers will also receive an additional $200 discount for pre-ordering, meaning you’ll save $400 for the Galaxy Z Flip series and the 512GB Galaxy Z Fold 5, and $550 on the 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 5. And in great news for customers wanting flexibility, you won’t lose any remaining discount if you cancel your Telstra phone plan early: simply pay out the remaining balance, with the $400 or $550 price cut applied.

If you have an older phone to trade in, Telstra is also offering up to $1,300 in trade-in credit for eligible devices, including $500 in bonus credit. This offer is available exclusively for the Galaxy Z series until 10 September, 2023.

Optus Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 & Z Flip 5 deals

  • 12, 24, or 36-month plans available
  • All plans include 5G access
  • Pre-order offers include free storage upgrades, plus a free Watch 5 Pro and Buds 2 Pro with purchase

Optus is offering both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 on 12, 24, or 36-month device payment plans. You’ll pay the same price for your phone regardless of which term you pick, but opting for a longer plan means you’ll pay smaller monthly installments.

The new Galaxy Z phones can be paired with one of Optus’ Choice postpaid SIM-only plans, which begin at $49 per month for 30GB of data. Each plan includes 5G network access, as well as no excess data charges in Australia — instead, any excess data use will be slowed to 1.5Mbps. Plans also feature unlimited standard national talk and text in Australia, data sharing, and the option to add unlimited full-speed data to your plan for 24 hours for $5 per day.

Pre-order offers

Optus’ biggest pre-order offers are the bonus gifts available with both the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. Order before August 17, and you’ll receive a free Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in 45mm Black Titanium (valued at $849) and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in Graphite (valued at $350) — that’s almost $1,200 in freebies.

Customers will also be eligible for a free storage upgrade across both phones, so you can buy the 512GB variants for the price of 256GB, and 1TB for the price of 512GB.

Optus is also offering its limited-time Promo SIM plan, which is priced at $89 per month for 500GB of data. However, the plan is currently discounted to $69 per month for 12 months, provided you sign up by August 27 — that’s a saving of $240 over your first year.

Samsung store Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 deals

  • Outright or interest-free payment plans available — 12, 24, 36 or 48 months
  • Customers will need to add a SIM-only telco plan
  • Pre-order offers include free storage upgrades, a $300 trade-in bonus, 5% off when you bundle with other Galaxy devices, and free Samsung Care+

As with the big three telcos, Samsung is giving pre-order customers a free storage upgrade for both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5: this means you’ll get the 512GB model for the price of 256GB, and the 1TB version for the price of 512GB. This deal will save customers either $200 or $350, depending on the phone and model you pick.

If you’ve got an older phone to trade in, Samsung will also give customers an extra trade-in bonus to go towards the cost of their new Galaxy: $300 for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and $500 for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The trade-in credit is also available to customers with unwanted tablets and smartwatches, and covers brands including Samsung, Apple, Google, Huawei and OPPO.

Samsung is also throwing in the choice of a free Samsung Care+ year-long subscription, valued at $149, or 50% off the price of a $279 two-year subscription. Plus, if you bundle your new Galaxy phone with another Samsung Galaxy device, you’ll receive a 5% discount.

If you do decide to buy directly from Samsung, you can purchase your phone at full price upfront, or on a payment plan of 12, 24, 36, or 48 months. While these plans are interest-free, you will need to pay a $9.95 monthly fee for the duration of your payments.

SIM-Only plans for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 & Z Flip 5

If you’re buying your new Samsung phone outright, you can pair your device with a SIM-only plan from any Australian telco. You can select from postpaid or prepaid plans, and have the flexibility to switch providers without being locked in to a contract.

One thing to note: if you want to use your Galaxy Fold or Galaxy Flip with 5G, you’ll need a phone plan with 5G network access. Telstra, Optus and Vodafone all include 5G access across postpaid plans, and 5G is also available on selected SIM-only plans from smaller providers, including Amaysim, Boost Mobile, Aussie Broadband, Belong, and Southern Phone. You can find a selection of 5G-ready plans below.
