Save hundreds on phones, tablets and internet with Optus’ huge EOFY sale

It may be the start of winter, but Optus is coming in hot with a bevy of end-of-financial year deals across new phones, internet plans, tablets and more. Bargain-hunting buyers can save hundreds on premium smartphones, score bonus wearables, and claim ongoing discounts on a range of NBN and wireless broadband plans from now through to June 30, 2023.

Optus EOFY phone deals

Optus is slashing the price of multiple in-demand Samsung Galaxy smartphones throughout June, cutting up to $475 off the retail price and throwing in free Samsung Galaxy Watches on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23+ and standard S23.

Here’s what you can save this EOFY:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23: save $300, plus bonus Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Watch5 (RRP $649) (now $1,048 for 128GB model, $1,148 for 256GB model)
  • Samsung Galaxy S23+: save $300, plus bonus Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Watch5 (RRP $649) (now $1,348 for 256GB model, $1,548 for 512GB model)
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: save $300, plus bonus Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Watch5 (RRP $649) (now $1,648 for 256GB model, $1,948 for 512GB model)
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G: save $474.48 (now $474.48 for 128GB model)
  • Samsung Galaxy A14 5G: save $342.72 (now $36 for 128GB model)

To claim these discounts and extras, you’ll need to buy your Samsung phone on an Optus 24 or 36-month payment plan. Your discount will be applied evenly across your monthly repayments; if you cancel your plan early, you’ll need to pay out the full non-discounted remaining cost of your device.

All of the above phones can be paired with any Optus postpaid SIM-only mobile plan, including the limited-time Optus Promo Plan. Normally $89 per month for 500GB of high-speed data, the Promo Plan is currently discounted to $69 per month for your first 12 months when you sign up before June 30 – that’s a saving of $240.

Optus EOFY internet deals

NBN deals

Optus is cutting pricing on its NBN range by up to $30 per month for your first six months, offering potential savings up to $180. The telco is discounting both its Optus Plus Everyday and Optus Plus Family Entertainer unlimited NBN plans by a minimum of $10 per month across all speed tiers, with the fastest NBN 1000 speed coming with a hefty $30 price cut.

Here is what you’ll get from this year’s Optus EOFY NBN deals:

  • Optus Plus Everyday NBN 50: $69 per month for the first six months, then $79 per month ongoing (save $10 per month, $60 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Everyday NBN 100: $79 per month for the first six months, then $99 per month ongoing (save $20 per month, $120 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Everyday NBN 250: $89 per month for the first six months, then $119 per month ongoing (save $30 per month, $180 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Everyday NBN 1000: $119 per month for the first six months, then $149 per month ongoing (save $30 per month, $180 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Family Entertainer NBN 50: $79 per month for the first six months, then $99 per month ongoing (save $20 per month, $120 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Family Entertainer NBN 100: $99 per month for the first six months, then $119 per month ongoing (save $20 per month, $120 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Family Entertainer NBN 250: $109 per month for the first six months, then $139 per month ongoing (save $30 per month, $180 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Family Entertainer NBN 1000: $139 per month for the first six months, then $169 per month ongoing (save $30 per month, $180 in total over six months)

Optus’ Plus Everyday NBN plans include no data limits, an Optus Ultra WiFi Modem Gen 2 ($0 when you stay connected for 36 months), and access to customer perks such as Optus SubHub. Optus’ Plus Family Entertainer Plans give you all of the above, plus a standard Netflix subscription, an Optus Ultra WiFi Booster, and an Optus WiFi Secure anti-malware subscription, for an extra $20 per month.

5G and 4G home internet deals

Customers with home Optus 5G coverage can also save up to $120 on the telco’s fast 5G internet plans. Optus is giving new sign-ups a $10 monthly discount on its Everyday Fast 5G plan, and a $20 per month cut on the Entertainer Superfast 5G plan, each for your first six months.

  • Optus Plus Everyday Fast 5G (100Mbps capped speeds): $69 per month for the first six months, $79 per month ongoing (save $10 per month, $60 in total over six months)
  • Optus Plus Entertainer Superfast 5G (uncapped speeds): $79 per month for the first six months, $99 per month ongoing (save $20 per month, $120 in total over six months)

Both plans include unlimited data and Optus’ Nokia 5G Modem ($0 when you stay connected for 36 months). Optus’ Plus Entertainer Superfast plan also comes with an included standard Netflix subscription.

For customers without 5G access, but still interested in a flexible wireless broadband plan, Optus is also discounting its 4G internet option.

  • Optus Plus Everyday Basic 4G (25Mbps maximum download speeds): First month free, then $54 per month for the first 12 months, $59 per month ongoing (save $5 per month, $114 in total over six months with first month free)

This plan includes unlimited data and an Optus 4G WiFi modem, free when you stay connected for 24 months.

Optus EOFY wearable, tablet and tech deals

Alongside phone and internet discounts, Optus is also dropping prices on tablets and tech extras, including $240 off iPads and 25% off Samsung Galaxy Tabs.

Here’s what else is on sale this EOFY.

Tablet deals

  • Apple iPad (9th Gen): save $240 (now $538 for 64GB model, $788 for 256GB model)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8: save $324 (now $974 for 128GB model)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 128GB: save $499 (now $1,499)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 256GB: save $550 (now $1,648)

All of the above discounts are available to customers who buy their choice of tablet on an Optus 24 or 36-month device payment plan, and remain with Optus for the full term of their repayments. You can pair your tablet with Optus’ month-to-month data-only plan, which is priced at $20 per month for 20GB of high-speed data (plus unlimited data speed-capped to 1.5Mbps).

Audio deals
