The outer layer of the Emma Comfort Mattress is made from breathable, nature-friendly foam, with open-cell structure, stated to ‘wick away’ excess moisture from the body, to avoid having you waking in sweats at night. Emma Sleep also states that each individual layer of its Comfort Mattress complies with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 – Class 1 (Certificate Number: 16.0.93305) which certifies that the product is free of harmful materials and safe for babies and toddlers.

Breathable comfort cover

The Emma Comfort Mattress comes fitted with an elastic Fresh Air cover which sits on top of the mattress to support air circulation through the mattress and cool the sleep surface. The comfort topper also features 3D mesh, handles and anti-slip elements for underside traction, to keep your mattress from moving with you in your sleep. The cover is removable and washing machine safe.

Pressure-relieving foam

The modern marvel is in the middle. The Emma Comfort Mattress features an adaptive foam layer with seven built-in ‘pressure-relieving’ sleep zones designed to support various pressure points in your body and to adapt to the contours of your body, to distribute pressure evenly across the entire mattress and keep you comfortable in whatever position you like to sleep in.

Supportive point elastic foam

The Emma Comfort Mattress features a counter pressure foam at the bottom stated to provide more cushioning to the body parts which sink more deeply into the mattress (i.e. the shoulders and pelvis for side sleepers), and to support your lower back and keep your spine in its natural position. This should avoid you waking up on the wrong side of the bed. It also has a motion isolation layer, so that you can move on the mattress without disturbing your partner.
