A brief history of the company

Like its low-rating counterpart, Simpson, Whirlpool also has a long history dating back to 1911, when it the Upton Machine Corporation was founded and produced electric motor-driven wringer washers.

This company merged with the Nineteen Hundred Washer Co in 1929, which then changed their name to the Whirlpool Corporation in 1950.

The company continued to acquire other appliance manufacturers and invest in technology over the next few decades, adding a great deal of variety to their product range and business portfolio. They owned many businesses with products ranging from refrigerators, cooking appliances, and the popular KitchenAid mixers.

Today, they are continuing to expand into countries where they are gradually growing their market share.
