How we rate sour cream brands

Our review compares sour cream brands on customer satisfaction, so you can find out what other Aussies think about the compared brands before you go ahead with a purchase. Think of it as like asking hundreds of your closest mates which sour cream brand they think is best!

Canstar Blue surveyed 482 Australians for their feedback on the sour cream brand(s) they’ve purchased and consumed in the last three months.
  • The outcomes reported in these ratings are measured via PureProfile’s accredited online research panel.

Respondents rate their satisfaction with their sour cream brand(s) from zero to 10, where zero is extremely dissatisfied and 10 is extremely satisfied. Brand satisfaction was rated by respondents on the following criteria:
  • Value for money: quality and quantity of product for price paid.
  • Taste: as expected from flavour description.
  • Packaging: provides sufficient information, easy to use, easy to store, functional.
  • Variety and range: good range of product options.
  • Texture and consistency: as expected for product.

The winner is the brand Aussies rate highest for the things that matter most to customers, based on overall satisfaction. To see how we crunch the numbers, check out our methodology page.

Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included, so not all brands available in the market have been compared in this survey. The brands rated in this survey are listed below in order of best overall satisfaction.

  • Farmdale (Aldi)
  • Woolworths
  • Bulla
