Most Satisfied Customers | Yumi’s

It’s the fifth year of our customer satisfaction ratings for food dips and the winner from the first year is back for more – Yumi’s. This brand received five-star reviews on taste, consistency and overall yummy satisfaction.

Dip in: Yumi’s rated Australia’s yummiest

It’s a necessity for every party, picnic and snack attack. Dips are a universal favourite, whether it be on a cracker, carrot stick or even a sandwich. They’re also wonderfully diverse – all kinds of flavours can be found in the supermarket’s fridge section, so everyone from sweet tooths to refined palates can find something they can enjoy.

Every year, Canstar Blue surveys thousands of households across the country to find out how they rate several food staples based on factors including taste and value for money. You may also be interested in:

In our fifth year of rating food dips, two-time winner Obela has been knocked out by Yumi’s, the original winner from our first year back in 2013. Yumi’s has been lurking about the ratings with some quite different results year to year, but in 2017 it has achieved top scores in overall satisfaction, as well as taste and consistency – arguably two of the biggest deals when it comes to deciding on your favourite dip.

Brands from ALDI and Coles also appeared in the ratings, alongside big name brands like Chris’ Dips, Obela, Black Swan and Red Rock Deli. The spread of food dip diversity really shows in this year’s results, with other brands joining Yumi’s in scoring top marks in one specific area or two:

  • Chris’s Dips was the only brand to be rated five stars for variety and range
  • ALDI Deli Originals was the only brand to rate five stars for value for money
  • Obela and Red Rock Deli both achieved top marks for packaging appeal

Yumi’s success this year may be partially attributable to its recent rebranding, with new packaging. The brand, born out of a Kosher fishmongers in Melbourne, offers more than 20 different food dip varieties, and is a favourite among hommus lovers thanks to its 1kg tub options available in all major supermarkets.

Yumi’s dips are all Kosher as well as dairy and gluten free, taking some of the fuss out of finding dips suitable for everyone.

Enjoy your dip!

Frequently asked questions

Canstar Blue commissioned Colmar Brunton to survey 3,000 Australian adults across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from customers within the survey group who have bought and eaten dip from a supermarket in the last month – in this case, 1,967 people.

Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands receiving three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10. Not all brands available in the market have been compared in this survey. The ratings table is first sorted by star ratings and then alphabetically. A rated brand may receive a ‘N/A’ (Not Applicable) rating if it does not receive the minimum number of responses for that criteria.
