iiNet is the second largest Internet Service Provider in Australia with over 1.3 million customers. iiNet was originally founded in 1993 by Michael Malone and Michael O’Reilly in a Perth garage. Since then iiNet has experienced explosive growth, acquiring many smaller regional ISP’s and rolling out services across the country, and even for a time in New Zealand.
iiNet specialises in ADSL2+ broadband plans, both by their own and also bundled with phone services. Their plans range in data quota from 100GB to 1000GB and come with optional modems. Prices range from $29.95 to $109.95 and are typically cheaper with a bundled phone line and more expensive with no phone line. Also included is the option for a Voice over IP, or VoIP service, which uses the internet to make phone calls.
