Stan adds Scrubs to improving content library

Paging all available viewers, Scrubs is coming back to Australian streaming screens.

That’s right, the hit comedy series is returning to fill us with laughs and nostalgia, with all episodes available on Stan from Friday (February 1).

Re-live all the classic moments, including the adventures of Dr. Acula, the best of The Todd’s innuendos, as well as just how crazy Hooch can be as the series returns to streaming after its departure from Netflix more than two years ago.

First aired in 2001, Scrubs was a worldwide hit, producing nine seasons – though we don’t really talk about the last season – that follows the ‘crazy’ adventures and mishaps of resident John “J.D.” Dorian (played by Zach Braff) and his best friend Christopher Turk (Donald Faison) at Sacred Heart hospital.

Home to plenty of memorable one-liners, plus a banging early-2000s soundtrack, Scrubs is comfort food for many, with the bromance between J.D. and Turk setting the standards for both friendships and relationships.

While the announcement of the show’s return to our mobile phones and tablets may come as a surprise to some – with both Stan and Scrubs stars remaining quiet about the release until earlier this week – the news will surely be welcomed by those who haven’t yet dived into a Stan subscription.

Whether you know the theme song off by heart, or you’ve never heard of the legend of the World’s Most Giant Doctor, you only have to wait a little longer before you can binge to your heart’s content.

EAAAAGLEEEEE!

Stan the man?

Scrubs is just the latest classic show to be added to Stan’s ever-increasing – and improving – library of TV content. The news comes just a few weeks after the Nine Network-owned platform claimed much of the rights to Disney movies in Australia.

Stan is also riding a wave of positive reviews for some standout new shows, including Aussie mystery drama Bloom, and Miracle Workers starring Daniel Radcliffe as an angel and Steve Buscemi as God. Yes, you read that correctly.
