Internode has grown from its foundation in South Australia in the early ’90s to become a national internet and telecommunications operator.
Having commenced business operations in 1991, Internode began offering internet services in the South Australian marketplace in 1994, growing its suite of services over the years, comprising residential and business offerings.
In 2011, Internode was acquired by iiNet in a deal worth $105 million (iiNet was subsequently acquired by TPG Telecom in 2015 in a deal worth $1.56 billion).
What services does Internode offer?

Home internet and phone
Internode’s residential services include NBN and broadband internet plans, home phone and VoIP, with phone and broadband bundling available across selected plans.
Internode’s home internet plans come with up to unlimited data, with its NBN plans available with a variety of different speeds, with plans available on either monthly or 24-month contracts.
Consumers can check via the Internode website as to whether they are eligible for an NBN plan at their address.
For customers who exceed their monthly usage, Internode additionally offers data top-ups in the form of data Broadband Blocks, comprising a variety of blocks.
NodeLine home phone, meanwhile, delivers a traditional landline service, and is available either bundled with a broadband plan or as a standalone plan, with a minimum three-month term applying.
Internode additionally offers call packs that can be added to a NodeLine home phone service, catering to local, national, mobile and international use.
NodePhone VoIP provides for calls over broadband, and is available with a variety of different monthly credits, with no set-up charges.
“NodePhone VoIP effectively turns the whole of Australia into a local call zone, allowing you to make untimed calls to any fixed phone in the country over your Internode broadband service,” Internode states of the service.
Internode’s Fibre Phone, meanwhile, is available only in NBN fibre-to-the-premises areas, on a monthly or 24-month contract.
Internode also offers a range of TV, music and content services with its broadband plans, including Fetch TV, comprising its Fetch TV and Fetch TV with Entertainment Plus plans, available on either a rolling one month contract or a 24-month contract.
“Fetch TV puts you in control,” Internode states of the service. “TV, movies, music and more, delivered through your Internode ADSL2+, fibre-to-the-premises, or NBN broadband, into your living room.”
A number of world TV add-on packs are also available with Fetch TV, along with the beIN Sports package. Internode’s Freezone additionally allows for customers to access selected content quota-free, including video and radio.
“The Freezone offers a range of video and radio content for iiNet, Westnet, Netspace, Internode and Adam Internet customers to enjoy without taking a hit to their monthly quota,” Internode states.
“Everything from movies, music, sports and gaming content is available, along with several live-streamed events throughout the year.”
Internode offers a number of SIM-only, month-by-month mobile plans, to which customers can bring their own mobile phone, under its NodeMobile brand.
Internode’s NodeMobile plans are available with a variety of different call, text and data allowances, and are delivered via the Optus 4G network.

Internode’s My Internode account management service provides customers a number of tools via which they can manage and monitor their account online.
