Who is TPG

TPG logoTPG Telecom is an Australian internet and mobile provider founded in 1986 by the Malaysian born Australian Daivd Teoh.  Originally named Total Peripherals Group, the company was at first an IT company before moving into the telecommunication market.  In 2008 TPG bought SP Telemedia , another Australian telecom.  TPG is now the second largest internet service provider in the country and the largest mobile virtual network operator, with over 671,000 internet subscribers and 360,000 mobile customers.

TPG offers no lock-in contracts that operate on the 3G and 4G networks.  Their plans range from $19.99 a month to $45 a month, all offering unlimited calls to other TPG phones.  The three more expensive offerings also provide unlimited calls and texts within Australia and an excess data charge of $10 per 1GB.
