Energy Price Fact Sheets

Understanding Energy Price Fact Sheets

When comparing electricity providers and plans, it’s imperative to check their energy price fact sheets. Unfortunately, some retailers don’t make this as easy as they should. That’s why we’ve produced this page to show you what to look out for – and where to look!

All electricity and gas retailers are required by law to publish an energy price fact sheet for each of its products. These are comprehensive documents outlining the rates, discounts, benefit terms and any additional conditions included with your energy deal. You can think of an energy price fact sheet like a contract – you are only bound by what is included in these documents, so make sure you understand exactly what you’re getting into before agreeing to anything.

To help uncover the mystery of energy price fact sheets, we’ll go through some examples of what they look like and what you should watch out for.
